Imagine the French, inspired by the sounds coming out of the US and UK, taking ideas from the great girl-groups, the beat-groups and combining it with the best of the French chanteuse traditions... The result became known as the yé-yé sound; classic pop songs with a French twist.

New Gondry

I'm assuming it's all built with disproportionate sets, then squeezed or stretched in post. But a mindfuck nonetheless.

I can't tell if there's stitching between sets or if this is a flawless, 1-shot deal.

Wow.

Joseph Byrd Interview 2004

I probably would have lived in ignorance if I had not found Broadcast...Because the aural path to USoA was quite rewarding.
There's probably more of their work worth finding, but the 1968 album is genius.

Enter the tedium of Mr. Cox's life. Things such as: "A job interview" (assumably a directing gig for a big LA studio) and uneasy coming to terms with expensive hotels. Also, a lot of info on past projects and cheerleading for the Green Party.

Luc Ferrari 1929-2005

Ferrari64-260

He died 1 day after Bob Moog, apparently. It's a little sad for me after having a chance to meet him and his wife, Brunhild. I've lost touch with them over the years, but expect people will continue to discover him for years to come.

It's hard to let go of stuff. For instance, I had no idea Kool Keith "Sex Style" commanded a $75 tag at half.com. I would be happy to sell it for 10 bucks. However, I decided to sell it for 29.99. Smitty's CD emporium is in business.

Map of the enchanted forest.

It's not much. A lot of shit. But hey, people out there love crap. I've already sold an Olsen Twins CD to prove it.
